I was so happy to finally shoot in Falkner!
I am not a Homestuck. I’ve never read any of it, I’m confused by it, and I don’t intend to read it, not because I hate it or something, I just don’t have an interest.
That being said, I want to apologize for the convention community. After about two years, I have finally heard the “there are too many Homestucks!” cry that broke the camel’s back. I cannot imagine being a Homestuck fan or cosplayer and hearing it literally every convention, and I’m sorry.
What many congoers don’t realize that by voicing these things time after time, posting things about “just moving them to their own con”, and the like, they are really just perpetuating hate and bullying. I remember what it felt like to like something different and be the weirdo, and they should remember, too.
Any congoers reading this should realize I am not telling you to like Homestucks, like the comic, or even that you shouldn’t have the OPINION that Homestucks should have their own con (this seems to be what people cry when you have a rebuttal for them, oh no, I’m squashing your free spirit!), but what I’m saying is you are literally being the bully when you post over and over again in tags or in con groups that there were “too many Homestucks”.
To Homestucks, I’m sorry that the community seems to be louder and louder against you after each con when your presence appears to be less and less to me personally. I do admit that the fandom had many incidents and on occasion still does, but what fandom doesn’t have incidents?
There will always be a fandom that you think you see “too much of”, but I think many people have developed the dislike and tend to be more sensitive to the fandom they dislike.
To Homestucks and Congoers alike, please realize that we are all just weirdos in costumes. Yes there will be some more irritating than others, but don’t try to segregate weirdo from weirdo. The thing is, “anime con” is not about “anime” anymore, and people should accept that. People don’t alienate Disney, comics, Doctor Who, Avatar, My Little Pony, Fairly Odd Parents, Duff Man, Minecraft, Lara Croft, ANYTHING!!
Guys, gals, other, keep dressing up as your favorite thing and stay cool.

Oh my gosh so I met the cutest little Daleks and I was really hoping I would find a picture of us together!
Unfortunately it’s the most awkward picture ever but they were sooo sweet. Whenever I am dressed as Merida I get a lot of pictures with children and those that are at the convention for other events and every time I get really choked up afterwards for some reason.
To have someone outside of the con or a child recognize me really means a lot and I always try to put on my best face.
I was really honored to meet these little girls!
